Renowned as a Statewide Leader in Education, Alonzo has worked hard to bring in billions of dollars in new funding for PGCPS. This critical funding has provided for the construction of over a dozen new schools, new programs for students living in poverty, and tuition-free community college. I’m committed to public schools that don’t just “get by,” but truly prepare students for college, careers, and life.

That means building policies that expand opportunity while holding systems accountable for results. In this session, I’m advancing work that elevates student opportunity and school-community partnership — and I’ll keep fighting for the resources and reforms that make a difference in classrooms, not just headlines.
